I’m Shawna,

My love for floral goes way back to when I’d watch my mother gather flowers from her garden then arrange them in the kitchen, putting them in interesting vases she'd picked up at antique stores or funky little places she'd find treasures. Id watch her in amazement as she seemed to know how to put every bloom in its place perfectly. She also could recite all the names of the flowers and plants in the yard with ease and know exactly how to care for each one.

I grew up with this and thought it was typical to have a mother well versed in botanical names and how to prune a rose the correct way...so I carried on and became a small version of her. Loving those same plants and flowers like she did, and appreciating their incredible beauty. I love an arrangement which looks fresh picked, not too pat or stiff, maybe a little wild and unkempt...but then again a perfect ball of tea colored carnations tied with a grosgrain ribbon might be amazing in itself.

I love combining different texture and varied colors, and I see it all, sky is the limit...my artistic brain might visualize things the typical person may not, and Im not sure if thats good or bad, but call me an artist who's flowers are her canvas. Simply put, I love what I do and I love my flowers.
